Back to the roots

Forget the clichés about the countryside and roadside restaurants. Coquo effortlessly sweeps away this urban-centered misconception, and does so with style.

In Bierwart, in the family home, at the corner of a crossroads, tucked behind a discreet façade, Coquo has quietly opened and revealed itself. Without noise, almost like a confidence. Corentin Lonnoy has returned to his village; there, he rediscovered his land, his walls, his playground, and his soul.
In this gentle house, the restaurant rediscovers its true purpose: to embrace, to reassure, to give. Guests are welcomed as if at those childhood meals, where a caring presence watched over everything, ensuring that all was right and good.

A clear, precise and deeply generous cuisine

Corentin Lonnoy cooks the way others tell a story.
His cuisine does not seek to impress. It moves forward calmly, almost naturally.

The experience begins with dishes that immediately set the tone: a foie gras terrine with chestnut cream, mandarin and brioche toast; a veal tongue croquette with celeriac remoulade, lovage mayonnaise and tangy gel; or butter-roasted turbot with Jerusalem artichoke cream with vin jaune, stewed brunoise and salsify chips.

The main courses continue this precise reading of the product: yellow farm chicken fillet with hazelnut-stuffed ravioli, pumpkin cream, braised chicory, radicchio and Albufera sauce; catch of the day with spinach cream with garlic, pointed cabbage, mousseline sauce and pommes Dauphine; or confit lamb breast with glazed turnips, sorrel espuma, buttery mashed potatoes and reduced jus.

Desserts follow, classic and well-executed: a warm Chartreuse soufflé, a Dame Blanche with Madagascar vanilla and 70% chocolate, a chocolate moelleux, a traditional crème brûlée, or a hazelnut choux craquelin with salted butter caramel. Not to forget the cheeses matured by Pascal Fauville, served with homemade sourdough bread, seasonal jam and dried fruits.

Each dish is built on a clear foundation: product, cooking, balance.
Plates full of depth, colour and authenticity. Nothing excessive, just care and truth.

The passion for wine is present, yet never dominating. Carefully selected bottles accompany the dishes with subtlety. The cellar grows steadily, guided by knowledge and intention.
Here, wine does not overpower the cuisine, it listens to it, extends it, refines it.

A house that breathes softness

Coquo is a place where time slows down. A gentle, discreet, almost familial welcome.
A small, intimate dining room, soft lighting, everything contributes to this rural cocoon that envelops you from the very first moments. You arrive, you settle, you breathe.

The cuisine speaks honestly. It is clear, precise and controlled.
It reminds us that sincere emotions are often found far from the noise, in a quiet house at a crossroads, where cooking is done with heart.

Coquo is the beauty of simplicity.
And it quietly yet powerfully proves that when something is genuine, it will always be noticed.
