Entrepreneur and impassioned epicurean, Alessio Castriota has left begin the files and the board meetings to offer us the very best of Italian cuisine. He’s opened a wonderful blend of restaurant and wine bar. While Italy is teeming with osteria, it’s rare thing in these parts.
To my right: the plate, with food that is faithful to Italian tradition, allowing simple ingredients to be the star of the show, with produce from the regions. To my left, the wine glass: with wine from a menu that has been concocted with passion and is chock-full of discoveries.
Ahead, the location: airy, refined, simple. The sober, elegant décor makes it all the easier to appreciate the gourmet offerings – get along urgently, especially for the sumptuous lunchtime buffet.
At night, the menu is packed with homemade dishes - and don’t forget a real bonus at the Scirocco is that from Wednesday to Saturday it’s aperitif night, accompanied by delicate amuse-bouches. Check out the adjoining private room where you can throw a party or have a business get-together.
