La Cité du Dragon welcomes its guests among its splendours—the water garden is renowned to be among the most magical in the kingdom. With impressive stained glass, original woodwork, murals, rare antiques and a stunning aquarium above which visitors amble, la Cité du Dragon blends with ease the redolence of former imperial art and contemporary design. The fabulous view from the garden alone is worth the trip. 3,000 m² of lush vegetation, fountains and hidden pathways in abundance, imposing marble statues dotted here and there between the parasols and nature. In fine weather, we dined at the foot of the lagoon where the famous sovereign koi frolic—these majestic colourful carp will accompany you as you are taken on a culinary journey through the delights of Chinese cuisine that perfectly blends flavour, originality and sophistication.
