Here are two you men on a perpetual rise, making for the perfect marriage between the contents of the plate and the wine glass. And it’s an address that works because of this blending of talents, creating a two-part gem, which they run with dynamism and a flawless complicity. Gert De Mangeleerlokks looks after the stoves, while Joachim Boudens rules the floor and the cellar. From his open kitchen, Gert is a true disciple of produce and delivers dishes that rhyme simplicity with modernity, and the evidence of it is clear. The result is without par – it’s great tastes all the way. These outstanding flavours are the product of a modern method of working, underlined by the best fresh produce that Nature has to offer.
From the cellar Joachim punctuates the festival of cooking with aplomb, harmonising his list with elegant creations from the four corners of the world of viniculture – the whole adding up to a gastronomic experience of the highest order.
